Register: General Information

ELIGIBILITY:

• Each entrant must submit a completed Athlete Application and Waiver
• All adults 50 years and better are invited to partici-pate.
      a. For adults 45-49, participation is limited to; Badminton, Swimming, Table Tennis, Track & Field and Walk-A-Thon
• Age group assignment will be determined by age as of December 31, 2012.
• All entrants will compete within their Age Group.
• Age Groups are [50-54] – [55-59] – [60-64] – [65-69] – [70-74] – [75-79] – [80-84] – [90+]
      a. In the event there is only one (1) entrant in an Age Group, that entrant will compete in the next lower Age Group.
          Medals will be awarded in accordance with actual Age Group.
• Team and Doubles entries will be assigned to the Age Group of the youngest player on the team.
• Team Captains must submit completed application and team roster.
      a. Each Team member must submit an individual application with a signed waiver.
• Walk-In entries when allowed are solely at the discretion of the individual Event Coordinator.
• Contact Event Coordinator to determine if Walk-In entries will be accepted.

ENTRY DEADLINES:

• Entries must be postmarked by September 15, 2012
• A late entry fee of Ten Dollars ($10.00) will be as-sessed for entries postmarked later than Septem-ber 15, 2012.
• Except in those events permitting Walk-In entries, no entries will be accepted at the event.

PAYMENT:

• All entries must be paid in full prior to participation in an event
• Team Captains must remit all Team Fees.
      a. A team member wishing to participate in another event is responsible for the event fees.
          The registration fee is included in the Team Fee.

Payment may be remitted by:

      a. Cash (DO NOT MAIL CASH)
      b. Money Order
      c. Check (subject to collection)
      d. Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover only.)
      e. Walk-In entries must be remitted by cash or money order.

Collection:

      a. Checks returned for any reason must be replaced by cash or money order prior to event.
      b. There will be a Thirty Dollar ($30.00) fee assessed for any returned check or rejected Credit Card.

AWARDS:

• The first three (3) Nevada residents in each age group within each event will be awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals.
      a. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
• Out of State residents will be awarded medals in order of actual finish.
• Out of State residents cannot displace Nevada residents.

DRESS AND EQUIPMENT:

• All athletes must wear appropriate attire for their event.
• Please check event information sheet and/or event coordinator for details.
• All athletes are responsible for the provision of equipment required to compete.
• In some events equipment MAY be available for loan or rental. Please check with specific event coordinator for availability.
• All equipment must meet weight or size requirements of Nevada Senior Games.
• Please check event information sheet and/or event coordinator for details.

EVENT STARTING TIMES:

• Check-in time generally is 30 minutes prior to posted starting time.
• Check specific event information sheet for details.
• Late arrivals may compete solely at the discretion of the Event Coordinator.

DISPUTES:

• Participation in all events is governed by the rules stated within the specific Event Information Sheet.
• All disputes will be settled by the Event Coordinator, who has the final word.
• Check specific event information sheet for details.

SUBMISSIONS:

• Check your application before submitting. Incomplete applications cannot be accepted.
      a. Be sure to sign the Athlete Waiver
• Retain a copy for your records
• Send completed Application, Waiver, Team Application, and remittance to:
